SIC ceramic filter membrane – Pure SIC filter membrane

Water treatment membranes produced from silicon carbide materials have the characteristics of ultra-high hardness, high temperature resistance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, high throughput, and high hydrophilicity. Its flux can reach 100 times that of traditional organic membrane materials and 3-5 times that of ordinary ceramic membranes.

The silicon carbide membrane is fired using a process with a sintering temperature of 2300 ℃. During the sintering process, the sintering neck between the silicon carbide aggregates undergoes a phase transition from solid to gas to solid, with an opening rate of over 45%. The formed filter channel has strong connectivity, coupled with the inherent hydrophilicity of the silicon carbide material (contact angle only 0.3 °), resulting in a pure water flux of up to 3000LMH, which is hydrophilic and oleophobic.

The isoelectric point of the silicon carbide film is around pH 3, and the surface of the film can maintain negative charge over a wide pH range, improving its pollution resistance.

Excellent chemical stability, capable of working in extreme environments (pH range of 0-14); Rich cleaning plans can be developed based on the characteristics of pollution factors; Oxidants are fully tolerant, including ozone and hydroxyl radicals.

The unique technology of the company's product is the integrated silicon carbide film, which refers to the silicon carbide ceramic film sintered together with the silicon carbide support body and film layer. Its advantages lie in:

The membrane layer is not easily detached, greatly improving the lifespan of the membrane body on top of the foundation;

More suitable for backwashing process, making membrane pores less prone to clogging, with a service life of up to fifteen years.
